Texture
Texture gives the brain information on how an object will feel. Even though we may be making a painting or drawing, the brain can still perceive texture even though you will not feel it. Look at this image of rope. You brain says it will be rough, but it will just feel like a computer screen if you try to touch it. Space
Space is describing how distance appears in a piece of art. This is how we perceive the depth in the piece of art, what is closer in the foreground and what is farther away in the background. Also, it focuses on the space that is used by the work of art and what space is not. Sometimes how nothing is just as important as putting something.
