Mosaics
Mosaics are created by assembling pieces of stone, glass, or other materials to create a pattern, design, or image. Pieces can be the same size and shape throughout the piece or vary throughout. These pieces of artwork can be any size and both indoor or outdoor pieces. Artwork can include space between the assembled pieces for grouting or assembled pieces can be touching and snugly held together. Most mosaic artwork is flat or with a slightly raised bumpy texture. Additionally, artwork tends to fit the surface it is on unless the artist decides on a particular border shape, normally a square, rectangle, or circle.
