String Art
String art, also known as pin and thread art, is when colored threads are woven between points to create patterns, usually geometric patterns or representational images. Designs can be simple silhouettes to detailed images or complex geometric shapes.
String art is considered to be developed from the 'curve stitch' activities that were created in the late 1800s by Mary Everest Boole to create a more interactive way for students to learn math concepts.
