Middle school students are creating a community nature space for the Scholastic Really Great Outdoor Contest. Students brainstormed ideas of what should be in a nature space and then completed research to determine which plants, trees, and flowers they want to have in their natures space and why. Students then design their natures space and draw it from an aerial view before completing their contest entry essay about what they are putting in their nature space, how it helps their community and environment, and how the community can enjoy it.
